This is supernova SN2023ixf in the spiral arms of galaxy M101 in the constellation Ursa Major, imaged with a Vaonis Vespera smart telescope from 00:21-01:23 UT on 26 May 2023.
This is “The Green Comet” (C/2022 E3 ZTF) captured from 04:51 to 04:59 UT on 21 January 2023 using a Vaonis Vespera smart telescope (no filters). The resulting TIF file was lightly processed in GIMP with a G’Mic-qt Smooth [Bilateral] filter.
This is the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) en route to its final destination at L2 some 900,000 miles from Earth. This looping animation is based on two separate images captured at 23:30UT on 4 January and 00:10UT on 5 January using a ZWO ASI178MC-Cool camera attached to a Canon EF 200mm f/2.8 L II prime lens. The faintest background stars in the constellation Monocerotis are around 16th magnitude. At the time, JWST was about 557,000 miles distant.
